Manly By-election - Science Party NSW update

The Science Party NSW endorses independent candidate Andrea Leong for Manly.

Andrea Leong recently earned her PhD with a thesis on antibacterial surface coatings at UNSW, undertaken at the Brien Holden Vision Institute. Previously, she completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Monash University and then joined the Biointerface Engineering team at the Industrial Research Institute Swinburne.

She is an adamant believer in the importance of a strong public education system and universal healthcare. She grew up in Warrnambool, in Victoria's west, and is a strong proponent of supporting regional growth through development of infrastructure, transport and a national broadband network.

On Wednesday evenings you can find Andrea rehearsing with the City of Botany Bay Band, which provides music at citizenship ceremonies in Eastlakes, one of Sydney's most culturally diverse suburbs.
