At the May meeting, we will discuss the upcoming Eden-Monaro by-election and how we approach elections in the era of physical distancing.

Some of the issues on the national agenda, like climate change and recovery from the COVID-19 crisis, are particularly relevant to the marginal electorate of Eden-Monaro. Rather than being at odds, protecting our health and protecting the environment go hand-in-hand. We must demand that our economic response to the pandemic doesn't come at the expense of the environment; further environmental degradation only increases the risk to human health. Instead, nation-building projects like constructing the infrastructure we need to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions can drive our economic recovery.
